Johnson's more than 500 bronze lion works -- 350 of which are life-size lion statues -- include horses, American Indians and other human figures. His works have been purchased by former President Ronald Reagan, late cowboy film legend Roy Rogers and former world heavyweight boxing champions George Foreman and Mike Tyson.   The MGM's "Grand Lion," created in 1997, is 45 feet tall, 50 feet wide and weighs 50 tons. It is said to be the largest bronze lion sculpture monument in the Western Hemisphere.   Johnson's other works include a bronze statue at the Stratosphere Tower and a massive horse and chariot at Caesars Gauteng, South Africa.   Johnson, a self-taught artist who is considered one of the most prolific bronze lion sculptors of his time, had to overcome considerable adversity to attain his fame. carved out in a very detailed way and which is designed in the Art Deco style. Well-groomed and with clear edges, the mane is in contrast to the rest of the lion's depiction. Nonetheless, the lion's body and mane are in perfect harmony. This combination of two styles gives the lion a proud and regal look. Therefore, it is a piece of art that is fitting for a lion. This bronze animal sculpture is limited to 20 pieces.   Like all of the other animal sculptures for sale in our shop, this exhibit is cast by hand and is subject to our strict quality guidelines during its creation.
